Tris Sherliker

Welcome to my personal website. I’m Tristan Sherliker, a lawyer and developer of minor software tools, among other things, living and working in London UK. I mainly use this site to write notes about things I find interesting (for example tech topics, law and making things) and the occasional drawing.

I am a lawyer-who-codes, and I work on the principle that understanding technology is one of the best ways to advise on it, and am endlessly fascinated by the parallels between law and technology. For two domains that seem so different, they really share a remarkable number of common themes and approaches. If you enjoy chatting about this sort of thing, drop me a line.

I also publish and maintain BunTool, a free and open-source tool (without tracking, cookies, or any kind of data harvesting) for people to organise their papers for court and other legal settings. BunTool is a used by unrepresented people who need to go to court, by charities, and also quite widely by solicitors, barristers, mediators and some even judges.
